Ave WWTP, Vila do Conde
Ave WWTP in Vila do Conde is equipped with the most advanced technology to treat effluent from textile and clothing industry in the region. To this end has a tertiary care unit, where the effluent is further subjected to disinfection by UV to ensure that their return to the river Ave is made to be environmentally safe.

Petrarouca dam
The construction of infrastructure such as Petrarouca dam in the region of Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douro, is associated with the implementation of biodiversity conservation measures, in this case, building a ladder to the aquatic fauna and the area of reforestation engaging.

Odelouca dam
The Odelouca Dam, with a useful water storage capacity of more than 100 million cubic meters, is a key infrastructure for the supply of water to the Algarve region, ensuring a continuous and regular supply of water that avoids the constraints inherent the years of drought.

EPAL's laboratories
EPAL's laboratories - located in Lisbon (Lisbon Laboratory) - and the Water Treatment Plant of Vale da Pedra have their remote origin in the Laboratory of 100-year-old Companhia das Águas de Lisboa (CAL), which was founded in the 1930s, whose main mission consists in designing and carrying out the Water Quality Control Plan in EPAL's Supply System. The analytical capacity of EPAL's laboratories is supported by the strict qualifications of technicians and resorting to automated equipment with a high capacity to deliver, hence enabling a rapid response within the scope of water quality control in EPAL's supply system as well as the commitment undertaken for the provision of analytical services to outside customers.

Areias de Vilar WTP
Areias de Vilar WTP, is located in the north region of Portugal and started operating in 1999.

Asseiceira WTP, Tomar
Asseiceira WTP produces around 160 million m3 of water every year, to be consumed by the residents of Lisbon’s greater area.

Lever WTP, Vila Nova de Gaia
Lever WTP is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, one of the most populated cities in the north of Portugal. This infrastructure produces around 270.000 m3 of water per day.

Boavista WTP, Coimbra
Boavista WTP started operating in 2010 and serves six municipalities.

Central control position - EPAL
There is a great quantity and diversity of assets that constitute the various water treatment steps and wastewater, which reinforces the importance of controlling and monitoring.

Caldeirão WTP, Guarda
Located in the city of Guarda, was inaugurated in 2006 and has an associated investment of around 11 million euros. The infrastructure serves the cities of Guarda and Pinhel, treating the water collected in the Caldeirão reservoir.

Monte Novo WTP, Évora
Completed in 2009, the investment in the expansion and remodeling of Monte Novo WTP, in the municipality of Évora, aimed to increase the production capacity and change the treatment process to ensure compliance with the new quality requirements for water human consumption.

Cacia WWTP, Aveiro
Cacia WWTP, located in Aveiro, corresponded to an investment of around EUR 12.4 million, playing a key role in the treatment of industrial waste water produced in the region.

Coimbrão WWTP, Leiria
In operation since 2008, the Coimbrão WWTP, Leiria has the capacity to treat every day about 38,000 cubic meters of wastewater, of which 77% are domestic, 18% from industry and 5% are pig effluents from holdings located in vicinity of the WWTP. The resulting biogas treatment is tapped for combined heat and electricity.

Barreiro/Moita WWTP
Inaugurated in 2011, has an enormous local and regional importance as it treats the sewage of about 90% of the population of the two counties, releasing them later in the estuary of the Tagus River, technically and environmentally sound conditions.

Reservoir of Santa Águeda, Castelo Branco
The reservoir of Santa Agueda, located on the river Ocreza, a tributary of the River Tagus, its main use of the public water supply, there being located a significant uptake of multi-municipal system of Lisbon and Tagus Valley.
