Águas de Portugal backs the return to school of in-need children in Oque Del Rei

AdP - Águas de Portugal Internacional, through its branch in Sao Tome and Principe, gave support to the return to classes at a school in Oque Del Rei, donating school materials and equipment to the community’s most in-need children.

On the 14th, last Saturday, the Oque Del Rei community received a visit from Rui Soutelo and Francisca Fartaria, members of AdP São Tomé e Príncipe, who brought backpacks and the school equipment necessary for the return to classes of 53 of the most in-need children in the two adjoining communities.

This delivery enabled these children to begin classes this week with everything needed given the schools otherwise do not have the means to provide students with class materials. In addition to the backpack, these children also received exercise books, a pencil case with pencils, pens, an eraser, pencil sharpener and ruler.

AdP São Tomé e Príncipe is a branch of AdP Internacional, in the Águas de Portugal Group, operational in the country since 2017 to develop technical assistance projects for EMAE – the Sao Tome and Principe Water and Electricity Utility with financing from the Portuguese state through the Environmental Fund of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Transition.
