AdPI sets out its presence at the World Water Forum 2022

AdP Internacional participated in the 9th World Water Forum (WWF), in Dakar – Senegal, between 21 and 26 March 2022, having engaged in various different technical sessions in the Pavilion of Portugal in order to project the national competences and experience in the water sector.

“Management Models for Water Supply and Wastewater Systems” was the title of the session organised by AICEP in which AdP Internacional participated through its president, Cláudio Jesus. With the set objective of sharing the Portuguese experience, the session brought together national companies and two important Senegalese entities in this sector, the Office National de L’Assainissement du Senegal (ONAS) and the Office des Forages Ruraux (OFOR).

Cláudio Jesus was also invited to chair the session “Water Services and Sanitation in the PALOP – Quo Vadis”, which took place on 23 March with the panel featuring key managers and technicians from the water utilities of Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe and Portugal.

We would also highlight how Francisca Fartaria, a company technical specialist currently engaged in project development in Angola, represented Portugal at the Youth Section of the World Water Forum. The session held the objective of fostering interactions between young professionals from Europe and Africa over the challenges and opportunities interrelated with the employment market in the water sector.

AdP Internacional also staged meetings with the representatives of the National Water Boards of EPASHuíla, EPASBengo and EASC, further deepening our relationship with these Angolan water sector entities.
